The Rex Foundation produced the Make Believe Ball on February 18, 2010 at the Great Music Hall. The event was a replay of the 1975 Grateful Dead record release party at the Great American Music Hall for the album Blues for Allah. The term Make Believe Ball was coined by an audience taper who named his bootleg tapes Make Believe Ball. Rex Foundation was created by the Grateful Dead, Friends and Family in 1983 to provide grassroots funding to people and organizations doing good work in the world.
